A quick dessert idea. Slice apples, dip them in batter, fry, and garnish with powdered sugar and cranberry jam. Ready!
Ingredients
Batter
- Egg – 1
- Powdered sugar – 1 teaspoon
- Milk – 200 ml
- Salt – a pinch
- Desiccated coconut – 1 tablespoon
- All-purpose flour – 110 g
Dried Cranberry Jam
- Honey – 2 tablespoons
- Grated orange zest – 1 tablespoon
- Orange juice – 250 ml
- Dried cranberries – 200 g
Apples
- Red apple – 4 pieces
- Powdered sugar – 5 g
- Canola oil – 500 ml
- Lemon juice – 25 ml
Preparation:
Batter Mix all the ingredients together.
Dried Cranberry Jam Cook all the ingredients in a pot over low heat until it reaches a jam-like consistency.
Apples Core the peeled apples (they should remain whole), then slice them into 5-7 mm thick slices, making sure each slice has a hole in the middle. Drizzle with lemon juice.
Heat oil in a skillet, dip apple slices in the batter, and place them in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with dried cranberry jam.
