Enjoy the sweet simplicity of Cherry Chocolate Pudgy Pie. This delicious treat combines juicy cherries with rich chocolate, all sandwiched between two slices of bread. Quick to make and even quicker to disappear, it’s a charming dessert perfect for a cosy evening in or a fun outdoor adventure.
Ingredients:
- 2 slices white bread
- 3 tablespoons cherry pie filling
- 1 tablespoon chopped almonds
- 1 tablespoon semi-sweet chocolate chips
Method:
Preheat your pie iron (if you’re using one) or non-stick pan to medium heat.
Take a slice of white bread and spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the surface.
Sprinkle the chopped almonds and semi-sweet chocolate chips over the filling.
Place the second slice of bread on top to make a sandwich.
If using a pie iron, place the sandwich in the iron and close tightly. Cook over a campfire or on the stove, turning occasionally, until the bread is golden brown and the filling is heated through, about 3-6 minutes.
If using a pan, press down with a spatula and carefully flip the sandwich to cook evenly on both sides.
Once cooked, remove from the heat, allow to cool for a moment and enjoy your warm, gooey Cherry Chocolate Pudgy Pie!
