Ingredients
Ingredients for the cream:
- Caramel chocolate, 90 g (I used salted)
- Mascarpone cheese, 100 g
- Heavy cream 36%, 150 ml
Ingredients for the caramel sauce:
- Toffee candies, 100 g
- Butter, 1 teaspoon
- Milk, 25 ml
- Fine sea salt, a pinch
Additionally:
- Whole grain biscuits, 100 g
- Peanuts, 60 g (salted)
Preparation
Preparation of the chocolate cream: Pour the cream into a saucepan with a thick bottom, add crushed chocolate, and heat, stirring frequently until the chocolate melts. CAUTION! Be careful not to boil the cream!
Cool the mixture and refrigerate for at least 3 hours to chill. Then transfer the cream to a tall bowl and beat for a few minutes. Towards the end of beating, add mascarpone cheese tablespoon by tablespoon. Mix until the ingredients combine and a smooth cream forms.
Preparation of the caramel sauce: Crush the toffee candies and transfer them to a saucepan with a thick bottom. Add butter and milk and melt over low heat. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Add sea salt and mix.
Crush the biscuits. Place 2 tablespoons of crushed biscuits at the bottom of 2 jars, then add 3 tablespoons of chocolate cream. Sprinkle the cream with chopped peanuts and drizzle with 2-3 tablespoons of caramel sauce. Repeat the process until all ingredients are used up. The top layer should be chocolate cream! Garnish the dessert with chopped peanuts and drizzle with the remaining caramel sauce.
