Chocolate Dipped Apple Rings

Step into a world of sweet indulgence with these Chocolate Dipped Apple Rings. Crisp apples meet the luxurious embrace of dark chocolate, decorated with a playful sprinkling of candy.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds medium apples
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 12 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • Assorted sprinkles or small candies for decoration

Method:

Core and slice the apples into 1/4 inch thick rings. Remove any seeds.

Mix the sugar and ground cinnamon in a shallow bowl.

Dip each apple ring into the cinnamon-sugar mixture, coating both sides.

Place the coated apple rings on a baking sheet lined with greaseproof paper and leave to set.

Melt the semi-sweet chocolate in a double boiler or microwave, stirring frequently, until smooth.

Dip half of each apple ring into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.

Before the chocolate has hardened, decorate the chocolate coated half with sprinkles or candies.

Place the apple rings back on the baking paper and refrigerate until the chocolate has set.
