Ingredients:
- 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 8 slices angel food cake (about 1oz each)
- optional: low-fat vanilla ice cream and blueberry syrup
Method:
Combine the sliced strawberries and sugar in a bowl. Let sit for about 15 minutes to allow the strawberries to release their juices.
Preheat the grill to medium heat.
Brush both sides of the angel food cake slices with the melted butter.
Place the cake on the grill and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side or until grill marks appear.
Drizzle the grilled cakes with balsamic vinegar.
