Ingredients
- Tea biscuits – 40 g
- Mascarpone cheese – 400 g
- Heavy cream (30%) – 200 g
- Powdered sugar – 3 tablespoons
- Toffee mass – 250 g
- Strawberries – 300 g
- Milk chocolate – 70 g
- Chopped hazelnuts – 30 g
Preparation
STEP 1: MELT THE CHOCOLATE IN A WATER BATH In a saucepan with boiling water, place a bowl so that the water level is below the rim of the bowl. Break the chocolate into pieces, add to the bowl, and stir constantly until melted.
STEP 2: PREPARE THE CREAM In a bowl, add mascarpone, heavy cream, and powdered sugar. Mix until a smooth cream forms.
STEP 3: PREPARE THE REMAINING INGREDIENTS Thoroughly wash the strawberries and cut them in half. Finely chop the hazelnuts.
STEP 4: ASSEMBLE THE CAKE Place tea biscuits on the bottom of a dish. Then spread half of the cream, toffee mass, and then the other half of the cream. Arrange the strawberries on top of the cream, drizzle the cake with melted chocolate, and sprinkle chopped hazelnuts over the top. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
TIP! If the toffee mass is difficult to spread, it’s worth heating it briefly in a saucepan.
