Do you love sweet snacks? Or maybe you have a big party coming up and want to be ready to entertain your friends? This recipe is very easy and the result is extremely tasty!
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 medium ripe bananas, halved lengthways
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, defrosted
- 4 oz semi- sweet chocolate, melted
- vanilla ice cream (optional)
Method:
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with greaseproof paper or lightly grease it.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over a medium heat. Add the brown sugar and cook, stirring constantly, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from the heat.
Place the banana halves on a chopping board. Using a pastry brush, brush the melted butter and brown sugar mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bananas.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Cut the pastry into 4 equal squares.
Place a banana half, cut side down, in the centre of each square. Fold the pastry over the banana to enclose it completely, pinching the edges to seal.
Transfer the filled pastry squares to the prepared baking tray. Brush the tops with the remaining butter and brown sugar mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
Remove from the oven and leave to cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of each bundle.
