Feel free to customise this recipe by adding ingredients such as chocolate chips, chopped nuts or fruit puree for your own unique flavour combinations. No matter what you add, this ice cream will always be delicious.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
Method:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract and salt until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Pour the mixture into an ice-cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
You can enjoy the ice cream immediately as soft serve, or transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 2-4 hours for a firmer texture.
Before serving, allow the ice cream to come to room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly.
